The Physiotherapy Assistant Program at Clarkridge Career Institute introduces the students to conjectural knowledge and practice-oriented skills , enabling them to master the expertise required for the profession of a physiotherapy assistant.
Physiotherapy assistants are an important part of the client recovery process and play a vital role in their well-being. They assist in designing and executing the care and treatment plan for their client’s recovery, while also providing mental and emotional support.
This program offers a variety of career options to the graduates. Students are exposed to various training and developmental opportunities not only regarding patient treatments, but also pertaining to the interpersonal and professional skills required to provide clients with utmost care and relaxation. Students are also familiarized with a number of techniques and exercises that facilitate an increased range of motion while mitigating pain and discomfort in patients, and also train them for simultaneously offering client-centric care and rehabilitation services where needed.

At Clarkridge Career Institute, in our Physiotherapist Assistant program, you'll learn to support people whose ability to function and adapt has been impaired or compromised due to injury, illness, or conditions affecting participation in daily activities.

- ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
In order to meet minimum program eligibility, you must possess the following:
- Grade 12 (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent; or should be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Pass a qualifying test.
- OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Medical certificate (includes TB test, immunization status especially Hepatitis B vaccination is strongly recommended)
- Police Clearance Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector check.
